What it is
Pebble Pouch turns shelf prices into numbers you can compare: the unit price of a pack in any common unit, a ranking of several products, the real cost of a bulk pack once waste is counted, the cost per use of things that last, and how much a shrinking pack has really gone up. Each page explains its formula with a worked example, so you can check the answer by hand.
How it works
Everything runs in your browser. The formulas and unit conversions are part of the page, so nothing you type is sent anywhere, and once a page has loaded it keeps working without a connection. Unit conversions use the exact definitions published by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). There are no accounts, cookies or ads.
What it is not
It is not a price comparison service: it doesn't know what any shop charges, and it never looks prices up. It works only with the numbers you enter, and the answer is only as good as those numbers.
